49th Hike along the Paths of the Brežice Detachment

This year’s 49th Hike along the Paths of the Brežice Detachment will start and finish in Pečice. As in the previous year, the event will take place over two days – on Friday, 24 October, the hike will be organized for pupils from Brežice’s primary schools, while on Saturday, 25 October, the traditional public hike with an opening program will take place.

The traditional hike brings together members of various mountaineering clubs, numerous recreational hikers, and pupils from local schools.

The trail leads past several memorial sites from World War II, following mostly the marked routes of the Brežice Mountaineering Association known as “Along the Paths of Kozjansko Partisans.” The hike lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours.

As part of the event, a cultural program is also organized by the Brežice Sports Association in cooperation with the local primary school, reviving the memory of the Brežice Detachment through words and images.
