On Saturday, March 28, Brežice was once again filled with a festive atmosphere. Organized by the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Youth Brežice, the 4th Easter Market took place, once again bringing together local providers and offering visitors an authentic experience of the upcoming holidays.

Jure Tomič from Ošterija Debeluh has been named Chef of the Year by Gault&Millau, one of the most prestigious recognitions in gastronomy.

Yesterday, the wine cellar of the Posavje Museum Brežice hosted the awarding of certificates of the Brežice Selected Territorial Collective Brand and a meeting of providers who help shape the story of local quality in the Brežice destination.

This year, Brežice will shine for the first time in the spirit of a month-long Advent celebration, filling the old town centre with lights, music, a festive market, an ice rink, and holiday cheer. 

The destination Brežice received a prestigious recognition at the Green Destinations 2025 conference in Montpellier, as its good practice was ranked among the Top 100 most sustainable stories in global tourism.

Istenič Sparkling Wine Cellar has received the prestigious Green Key and Slovenia Green Attraction certificates, confirming its commitment to sustainable development and responsible hospitality.

At Tourist Farm Pri Martinovih, the decision was made to further strengthen their sustainable commitment by formally embedding their existing green policy into their business operations.

With an energetic concert by the band Vatra and a spectacular fire show, the 2025 edition of Mestna promenada Brežice came to a close. This largest summer event in the town once again brought together local artists, providers, families, visitors from near and far, and numerous partners. Over the course of ten days, the old town center hosted more than 20 events, blending music, art, gastronomy, and sustainable thinking. This year, the event welcomed a record number of visitors — just over 20,000.

Brežice, July 9, 2025 – The old town of Brežice came to life to the rhythm of the biggest summer event in the Posavje region, Mestna promenada Brežice. A varied program for all generations will take place until July 18, combining music, cuisine, art and a sustainable vibe. The first day of the event not only impressed with its diverse events, but was also marked by an exceptional achievement. The Brežice destination received the highest award within the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism – the Slovenia Green Destination Platinum label, which is currently held by only five destinations in Slovenia.

On Tuesday, April 22, the new premises of the Tourist Information Center Čatež ob Savi were officially opened at Terme Čatež. The center, along with the interactive Digital Castle Room – The Magnificent Seven Castles of Posavje, has moved to a larger and more modern space.
