This year, the Brežice Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Youth is delighting visitors with a festive atmosphere and a wide range of events for all generations.
On Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7, as part of the VGC+ project, we organized a festive family city tour entitled “The Gnome Path Among the Lights.” Children and their parents, accompanied by gnomes Krkica and Špiček, explored the enchantingly decorated town of Brežice. They enjoyed a gnome-themed performance and went on a quest to discover tiny, often overlooked details in the city. The tour concluded in the castle park, where excited children posted their letters to Santa Claus in his special mailbox. The event was very well attended, with more than 150 children and adults participating.
On Saturday, the ice rink near the Multipurpose Sports Hall in Brežice also came to life, allowing visitors to enjoy free skate rentals, skating, and fun on-ice activities. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by the evening “Anja Kramar Acoustic Live” concert, which attracted a nice crowd and created a delightful holiday experience.
December in Brežice continues to offer events that bring the community together, draw in visitors, and convey the warmth of the festive season. This Thursday, December 12, at 5 p.m., you are invited to the hall of the Brežice Youth Center for a free children’s performance, “A Fairy Tale for Gnomes,” certain to captivate the youngest guests. Free tickets can be picked up at the Brežice Youth Center’s Info Point. After the performance, children will have one last opportunity this year to post their letters in Santa’s mailbox.
