Charity cycling event also in Brežice
On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 7:40 AM, you are warmly invited to join us in supporting the inspiring charity project "Deželak Junak – For Children's Holidays," which for the 11th year in a row unites Slovenia in a noble mission: to provide unforgettable holidays for children from socially disadvantaged families.
The 2nd stage will start at Terme Čatež, from where Miha Deželak and the Radio 1 team will continue their journey towards Brežice, with a stop scheduled at approximately 7:40 AM in front of the Brežice Sports Hall. There, we will join pupils from Brežice Primary School to welcome and support the team. Afterwards, the route continues toward Artiče.
The "Deželak Junak" charity initiative, led by the popular radio host Miha Deželak, has been running since 2015. Every year, he sets off across Slovenia on a bicycle, collecting donations from radio listeners, companies, and individuals to fund summer holidays for children who would otherwise not be able to afford them. Last year alone, the project raised over €1,100,000, making holidays possible for more than 2,000 children.
This is a truly inspiring project that shows how much good we can achieve together.
Join us in Brežice, greet the hero on his journey, and let’s show that our destination also has a big heart!
