In the heart of Brežice stands the pride of the town, the renovated Water Tower. On the first Sunday in November, the 5th of November, you are invited to a free guided tour of this historical gem. After exploring the tower, a special culinary surprise awaits you. Join us for a tasting of delicious local desserts and wines labeled Brežice Selection/Izbrano. A journey into the past and culinary delights make for a perfect Sunday!
Symphony of Flavors in a Castle Setting
On Tuesday, November 7th, you are invited to the charming castle surroundings of Brežice Castle, where a special culinary evening awaits you on St. Martin's Day. Experience excellent cuisine from Ošterija Debeluh, enjoy selected melodies, and taste top-quality wines served by sommeliers from the Posavje Wine and Culture Lovers Society. Surrender to the flow of the evening, where wine, food, and music come together in perfect harmony. Tickets are available in advance for €35 at the reception of the Posavje Museum Brežice and the Visitor Center in the Water Tower Brežice. The number of tickets is limited.
Traditional Celebration in Bizeljsko
The celebration continues with a grand St. Martin's celebration under a tent in Bizeljsko, which will be a treat for the souls and ears of all lovers of good fun. Under the big tent, on Friday, November 10th, the Wine Queen of Bizeljsko for the years 2024 and 2025 will be announced during the Local Festival of the Bizeljsko Community, and the evening will end with a party featuring the Džuboks band. On Saturday, November 11th, the peak of St. Martin's celebration will be with the Nemir Ensemble, which will provide the melodies that will make your feet dance on their own. Admission to these events is free.
St. Martin's Hike and Grape Juice Baptism
Take care of your physical activity and join the traditional St. Martin's hike, which will take you from shrine to shrine, where you can admire the natural and cultural landmarks of our beautiful region. After the hike, a special event awaits you. In the hall of the Multipurpose Center Pišece, there will be a solemn baptism of grape juice, where freshly pressed grapes will turn into young wine.
