The Mestna promenada Brežice event has once again justified its reputation as one of the most popular summer events in Posavje. Every evening, the old town center is transformed into a lively venue for music, cuisine, creativity, and socializing.
In the first week of the event, visitors were delighted by numerous musical performances, from a Dalmatian evening with Klapa Semikanta to an exceptional Saturday concert by the ABBA Real Tribute Band, which turned the old town into one large dance floor. A tribute to Brežice's creativity was also the opening concert of Brežice Izbrano, which featured performances by Nuša Derenda, Niko Zagode, Adrijana Jelen, Rok Ferenčak, Anja Kramar and the group The Rafters under the artistic direction of Robert Petan.
On the opening night, visitors were welcomed by Kuhinja na ulici with selected flavors from local restaurateurs operating under the collective brand Brežice Izbrano: Gostilna Les, Turistična kmetija Vimpolšek, Turistična kmetija Pri Martinovih, Riba in pol, Reset Brewery, Stara gostilna Krulc, Huda., Sladke zgodbe and Mesarija Krošelj.
Children could enjoy the lively children's corner, where creative, sports and entertainment activities took place, and one of the biggest attractions was definitely the visit of Pika Nogavička, who delighted both the youngest and their parents with her energy and antics. Saturday's Mini Athletic Olympics also brought a lot of laughter and movement, where children tested themselves in various sports challenges and proved that sports can also have their place on the promenade. The event, with a Sunday hip hop afternoon and evening dance under the stars, brought together everyone who wanted relaxation, fun and a carefree evening in good company.

Fun, but with a sustainable touch
The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Youth of Brežice, which is organizing the event in cooperation with the Municipality of Brežice and its supporters, including green sponsor HESS d.o.o., are extremely satisfied with the response from visitors and the local community. "Mestna promenada is an event that always exceeds expectations. We are pleased that it is so well received by locals and that it is also attracting more and more visitors from elsewhere. At the same time, it remains true to its vision of supporting the local, thinking sustainably and creating a quality experience," say the organizers."
As a two-star event on the zero waste path, Mestna promenada Brežice is committed to reducing waste, supporting the local and environmentally friendly solutions. Visitors are invited to co-create the sustainable story of the event with their actions. The highest award, the Slovenia Green Destination Platinum label, which the Brežice destination, as one of only five Slovenian destinations, received upon its opening, is an additional confirmation of the successful implementation of the vision of sustainable tourism.
The organizers finally emphasize: "Mestna promenada is being created with and for the people. Therefore, thank you to everyone who, with their presence, responsible behavior and positive energy, is co-creating this unique pulse in the city center. See you in the coming days!"
