In May 2024, the Municipality of Brežice initiated the development of the new generation of the Municipal Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the 2025–2032 period. This new strategy builds on the strategy adopted in 2017, aiming to enhance the quality of life, bring positive effects on the environment and space, and improve traffic safety, mobility, and accessibility. The purpose of comprehensive traffic planning is to establish a system that implements transport policy in line with the objectives of sustainable development, economic prosperity, social cohesion, and environmental protection.
When preparing this strategy, special attention is paid to analyzing the current traffic conditions and the impact of already implemented measures. To ensure that the SUMP (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan) is as closely tailored as possible to users’ demands and expectations, we kindly invite you to contribute your opinions and suggestions by filling out an anonymous questionnaire. Your participation is essential, as it will allow the strategy to reflect the real needs of citizens and users of the transport system.
