The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Youth Brežice has enthusiastically prepared this year's festive program, spicing up the December days with unforgettable moments.
The diverse events will kick off on Friday, December 1st, with the traditional lantern walk organized in collaboration with Mavrica Brežice Kindergarten. Join us with your handmade lanterns in front of the kindergarten, where we will start the walk together. We'll light up the festive decorations in the old town center and conclude the event in the park at the Youth Center Brežice, where a rich accompanying program awaits.
Sunday, December 3rd, will be dedicated to craftsmanship and creativity. The Posavje Museum Brežice will open the doors to the Festive craft fair, where you can choose from unique gifts and immerse yourself in the holiday atmosphere.
On Thursday, December 14th, children at the Youth Center Brežice can enjoy the magical performance 'Jelkina tržnica' and take photos with Santa Claus. The event is perfect for a family experience and creating holiday memories.
Attention, music lovers! On Friday, December 15th, a concert 'Yugo bo za dugo vol. 2' with the legendary band Zabranjeno Pušenje awaits you. The melodies that connect generations will echo through the Youth Center Brežice that night.
Gala New Year's Concert
On the second-to-last day of the year, December 30th, the Gala New Year's concert will take place in the Knight's Hall of the Posavje Museum. One of the leading harpists and internationally recognized artist Mojca Zlobko Vajgl, along with Žiga Brank, one of the prominent Slovenian violinists, will captivate with their virtuoso performances.
Unforgettable New Year's Eve Celebration for Children and Adults
New Year's eve in Brežice '23 will be the culmination of the festive events. Children will celebrate their New Year in the old town center in the morning, enjoying the performance by Alenka Kolman and her friend, joined on stage by Santa Claus. At exactly 12:00 PM, we'll countdown the last seconds of the old year and welcome the new one. At 9:00 PM, join us for an unforgettable outdoor New Year's Eve celebration with the local band The Rafters, founded by local singer-songwriter and musical artist Robert Petan. DJ TAJ will provide the musical prelude.
