Pepito, his alpacas and a colourful animal crew invite you to an experience featuring feeding, a creative workshop and local delicacies.
In Drenovec pri Bukovju, among the hills of the Bizeljsko countryside, lives Pepito – the alpaca after whom the entire ranch is named. A colourful crew lives with him: alpacas Hope, Peri and others, pygmy ponies, mini goats and dozens of different chickens and geese.
Spending time with the animals
The guided visit begins with getting to know the animals. The hosts introduce the characteristics and habits of the alpacas and other ranch residents, followed by the best part: feeding, stroking and taking photos. Alpacas are curious and gentle animals, so even the youngest visitors quickly feel at ease around them.
Creative workshop and local treats
After socialising with the animals, a creative workshop follows, where you can make your own natural soap from real alpaca wool using the felting technique. This souvenir is both practical and completely unique. The visit concludes with local delicacies from the hosts: homemade juices and wine in summer, and mulled wine in winter.
Good to know
The entire experience lasts from an hour and a half to two hours. A visit is possible by prior reservation, and the ranch occasionally organises special events such as yoga and meditation among the alpacas. The ranch is just over a half-hour drive from Brežice and is an excellent spot to round off a trip around Bizeljsko.
