A riding school, guided walks for children, and trail riding for experienced riders at a tourist farm where horses have been part of the family for generations.
At Zevnik Farm in Čatež ob Savi, where the Krka and Sava rivers meet beneath the slopes of the Gorjanci Hills, horses have been part of the family for generations. Today, the farm opens its doors to everyone drawn to the saddle, from toddlers stroking a horse for the first time to experienced riders looking for varied trail routes.
First steps in the saddle
The youngest can enjoy their first ride on horseback on a guided walk, where the horse is safely led by an experienced local. For those truly fascinated by horses, the farm runs a riding school where children and adults can gradually learn to ride independently.
For experienced riders
For experienced riders, the farm offers trail riding along the surrounding paths, through fields, by rivers, and along forest tracks beneath the Gorjanci Hills. Riding in nature is a special experience, and the diverse landscape at the confluence of the Krka and Sava rivers ensures that no two tours are ever the same.
More than just riding
The farm also organises celebrations for private groups, children’s camps, and guided tours of the farm to meet the horses. After an active day, you can also stay the night here, as the farm is only a kilometre from Terme Čatež, yet tucked away enough that in the evening you’ll only hear the cicadas and the river.
