National House

The opening ceremony of the National House, upgraded into a two-storey building, took place on 14th of August 1904. In the era of national fights, it served as a cultural and political centre of the Slovenes of Brežice.
The functioning of the National House in Brežice dates back to 1895. In the middle of the 19th century, the building of the Klembas Hotel housed the Haidenek Inn (then Heider, Jamnik, Berdan, Koštomaj, Schweiger and Korent).
