AddressPišece 15, 8255 Pišece

The Parish Church of St. Michael was first mentioned in 1406 and was constructed between 1791 and 1795 on the site of an older predecessor, from which only the lower part of the bell tower remains. In 1825, the tower was heightened, the sacristy was rebuilt, and it was gradually architecturally connected to the rectory, which forms the eastern part of the church complex. The work was completed in 1837. After a fire in 1861, the exterior was thoroughly renovated, and in 1878, painter Tomaž Fantoni decorated the church’s interior with frescoes.

The church is a notable example of late Baroque architecture, featuring a two-bay vaulted nave, a presbytery vaulted with a flattened dome, and an older bell tower with a sacristy. The western façade is adorned with three statues and decorative painting, while the interior stands out for its high-quality altar furnishings. Particularly noteworthy are the large main altar with numerous statues, the pulpit, and the side altars, which, along with the stone flooring made of Pohorje marble and the chancel screen, were transferred from the Dominican church in Radlje ob Dravi. The rectory, containing older structural elements, is attached to the church complex.
