The Church of St. Mary Magdalene is located in the flat part of the parish of Velika Dolina. It is oriented in the S-N direction, opposite to most churches that are oriented E-W. The church is dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, known as a disciple of Jesus and the first to announce the news of His resurrection. Her statue adorns the main altar.

The architecture of the church is late Gothic, with elements of Romanesque style, characterized by thick walls and a low structure. The presbytery is three-sided, and the main portal under the bell tower has a pointed arch. The church has been enlarged and renovated multiple times, as evidenced by the dates 1536 and 1936, carved above the doors.

The bell tower, originally wooden, was later raised and equipped with two bronze bells. The church also features three wooden Baroque altars, with the oldest dating back to the 17th century. Notable are also the Baroque paintings from the workshop of Valentin Metzinger, including depictions of St. Notburga, St. Michael, St. Isidore, and St. Catherine.

A cemetery lies beside the church, where a special holiday is celebrated on the feast day of St. Mary Magdalene, the third Sunday of July.
