The Najger Repnica Cave is located above the village of Brezovica in Bizeljsko. This particular type of cave originates from the 19th century when farmers needed a place to store their harvested crops during the winter months. Later the biggest and most beautiful Repnice were created.
Visitors to this cave will admire a wonder of nature and human hands: a natural fresco, which presents – with a little imagination – different images. In the central room of this cave system, homemade varietal wines and other sorts of wines are offered for tasting along with specialities of the house. The hosts will be happy to show you their cellar with bottled wines.
This repnica was started to be dug already in the 19th century to store winter supplies. From a small hole, one of the most beautiful and largest root cellar was made.
