Organic walnut kernels represent the finest selection from Omerzu Farm. They are marketed under the Slovenski oreh brand, confirming that the walnuts are grown in Slovenia. The kernels are packed in paper bags, reflecting a sustainable approach.The walnut tree has long been a symbol of the Slovenian countryside. The oldest part of the orchard at Omerzu Farm is 24 years old, while the youngest trees are just one year old. Through regular pruning and careful maintenance, high-quality yields are ensured. In autumn, the walnuts are harvested, washed, dried, mechanically cracked, and hand-selected so that only the best kernels reach the customer.
Nestled in unspoiled nature and surrounded by forest lies Omerzu Farm, whose roots date back to 1996. That year, the family took over an abandoned homestead and lovingly restored it. Two years later, they planted their first walnut orchard, later expanding it and adding lavender. The farm avoids the use of harmful substances, placing the health of people, animals, and nature first. Since 2015, they have been included in the control system for organic production and processing.
