The “Debeluh” Inn is a family-run restaurant located in the centre of Brežice. Not only is Jure Tomič a top chef, but also a world champion. He was awarded the prestigious title in 2016, winning the “best of the best” award in the competition of top chefs.
His job was not simple, since he had to convince a panel, composed by renowned Italian chefs and culinary experts, with a recipe based on Italian tradition and passion and add it local taste and innovative, modern twist. His recipe called WHOLEMEAL pasta Fusilli Integrali Barilla with goat cheese and courgette obviously had all the ingredients to win. Paolo Barilla, vice-president of the Barilla Group, was the one who presented the award to Jure.
