You are invited to the traditional Rokovo 2026 celebration, taking place in Brežice on 15 and 16 August, once again bringing together religious traditions, local customs and community gatherings.
Saint Roch is the patron saint of St Roch’s Church in Brežice, and the celebration of this beloved saint’s feast day has a long tradition in the town. In the past, Rokovo was an important festive and social occasion in Brežice, bringing together locals and visitors for religious celebrations, a fair and various local customs.
An important part of the Rokovo tradition was also telerflajš, a dish traditionally prepared by the people of Brežice for this occasion. Today, this aspect of local heritage is being revived. Following Sunday’s service, visitors will be invited to enjoy traditional telerflajš, while the festive programme will be complemented by a Craft Fair, bringing the former lively fair atmosphere of Rokovo back to Brežice.
