Opening of the Updated Permanent Ethnological Exhibition: Posavje, Wine, Hills, Fields and Rivers

The updated permanent ethnological exhibition presents the rich cultural heritage of Posavje and the interplay between its natural environment and human creativity. It focuses on viticulture and winemaking, which have shaped the region’s cultural landscape, economy and everyday life for thousands of years.

Selected objects, tools, photographs, texts and audio content explore the traditions of grape and wine production, the knowledge and challenges of local winegrowers, and the importance of this activity to the community and sustainable development. The new content complements existing stories about the rivers, fields and life along them, revealing how the heritage of the past connects with the creativity and challenges of the present.

The exhibition was created by Dr Ivanka Počkar, in collaboration with Stanka Glogovič and Alenka Černelič Krošelj.
