Knowledge and Skills from the Museum Archives: Stucco Marble and Scagliola

During this four-day creative workshop, participants will explore stucco marble and scagliola, traditional decorative techniques that imitate the appearance of natural marble.

Under the guidance of conservators-restorers Nives Slemenšek and Pika Škerlj, they will learn about the materials involved and the entire production process, from preparation to shaping and finishing.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone interested in art, crafts and traditional decorative techniques. It offers an opportunity to discover how natural materials can be transformed into unique decorative surfaces and objects.
