First Sunday at the Museum: “Water Isn’t Even Good for Your Shoes,” Yet We Can’t Live Without It

As summer draws to a close, join a themed walk dedicated to water, an essential natural resource that has also shaped the history and heritage of Brežice.

The walk begins in the Knights’ Hall of Brežice Castle, where visitors will discover a depiction of water as one of the four elements, inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses. It continues at the Water Tower, exploring the town’s water heritage, and concludes at the Water Tower Confectionery and Visitor Centre.

The event also highlights the importance of protecting water resources and the right to drinking water, which was enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia in 2016.
