In Bizeljsko, one of the most recognisable wine-growing regions in Slovenia, the traditional St Martin’s Day celebration comes to life every year in November.
This is the time when the wine-growing year symbolically concludes and the must turns into wine, which locals and visitors celebrate together in a relaxed, authentic atmosphere.
Over two days, a rich programme unfolds that goes beyond just the central St Martin’s rite. Accompanying activities, music and socialising create a lively atmosphere that attracts many visitors to the town from near and far.
Excellent wine tastings and fun
Special emphasis is placed on wine and must tastings, where visitors can discover the diversity of the local wine selection. Every glass reflects the character of the landscape, the work of the winemakers and the tradition that has been preserved in Bizeljsko for centuries.
There is also plenty of entertainment and a diverse musical programme, which attracts visitors from all over Slovenia.
