In the old town centre next to the ice rink, a festive fair comes to life in December, transforming Brežice into a true festive village. Locals and visitors stroll among the wooden huts, while the air is filled with the aromas of mulled wine, tea, baked treats, and freshly prepared dishes.
Local comes first
The fair is built on local offerings. More than 30 providers from the Brežice area are featured at the stalls, including caterers, producers, winemakers, and artisans, who co-create the town’s festive story with their products and dishes. The culinary offer is based on local ingredients and recipes, so you won’t find mass-produced items at the fair, but rather flavours that cannot be found elsewhere.
Gifts with a story
The festive fair is also an excellent opportunity to buy gifts. Unique handcrafted products, homemade delicacies, and items by local creators offer you something that cannot be bought in shopping centres, as they also pass on the story and energy of the person who created them.
A place to socialise
The fair is also a popular meeting place. On weekends, it is complemented by concerts, performances, and children’s entertainment, while during the week, it is the ideal spot for a relaxed evening stroll.
