The exciting St. Martin's Day festivities kick off on Sunday, November 3, at 4 p.m. with a unique event, Sparkling Wines at Heights. You’ll have the opportunity to ascend the Brežice Water Tower, where a guided tour of this architectural gem will reveal many new insights. While enjoying breathtaking views of the town and surrounding area, you can indulge in a tasting of selected local sparkling wines, all part of the collective brand Brežice Selection.
A Gourmet Evening with Music
On Friday, November 8, at 6 p.m., Tourist Farm Vimpolšek invites you to a St. Martin's Culinary and Musical Evening. You’ll be able to savor traditional dishes, prepared with love and attention to detail. The evening will be enriched by a performance from the duo Maja and Robi, who will create a delightful atmosphere.
Don't Miss the Joyful St. Martin's Celebration at Bizeljsko
All lovers of good wine and great company shouldn’t miss this year’s wine festival at Bizeljsko. On Saturday, November 9, at 8 p.m., the traditional St. Martin’s celebration will take place under a tent in front of the Cooperative Hall in the Bizeljsko-Sremič wine-growing region, featuring the christening of the must. A Festive Sunday in Sromlje
The St. Martin’s celebrations will conclude on Sunday, November 10, in Sromlje, where a mass will be held at 10 a.m. in honor of the parish patron, St. Martin. After the mass, the blessing of the new wine will follow, along with a tasting of young wines and local delicacies at the Sromlje Community Hall.
St. Martin's Experiences '24 are an opportunity for anyone who wants to experience the rich wine-growing tradition, taste excellent wines, and enjoy top-notch cuisine. The events are organized by the Brežice Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Youth, along with partners: Posavje Museum Brežice, Tourist Farm Vimpolšek, Tourist Farm Pri Martinovih, the Associations of the Sromlje Local Community, and the Associations of the Bizeljsko Local Community.
